Here’s just the thing to end this long week on a sweet note… check out the super awesome cake from Kiera’s first communion! I can’t impress upon you how much I love this mix of ice cream sandwiched between layers of the perfect chewy brownie. The one below is filled with cookies & cream ice cream and studded with oreos. I’m told you can even customize with your favorite ice cream flavor. I still remember the sweltering, hot summer day when I first tasted this delicious treat. That birthday cake was the perfect end to a sticky July evening filled with backyard softball and flickering fireflies. This may not be the fanciest cake in the world, rather it’s just simply perfect in its execution. I’m thankful I don’t live in Bucks County or I’d be inventing celebrations to special order an ice cream cake.
