I have one other bit of great “local” news.  Bill Taibe (did you adore Relish of SoNo?) has left Stamford’s Napa & Co and opened a new farm-to-table restaurant called Le Farm in Westport.

Going out on tour is a great way to drum up some serious buzz and listen up kids, it’s not just for rock stars!  The Danbury, CT agency Plaid has been driving its way through three tours of the U.S. in Plaid Nation. In their most recent trip, they wrapped a Ford Flex (check this flickr set for full tranformation) and set out for awesome inspiration spots like Threadless, Fedex and The Boring Store as they cruised the Midwest.

So who’s going out on tour next?  Justin & Mary Marantz, a killer photography studio based in New Haven, CT.  They’re bringing the Spread the Love tour to 20 U.S. cities and this is workshop is ALL about running a creative business that your customers will love to support. It’s not just a photography workshop, it’s LIFE workshop, so *any* business owner can benefit. Past events have covered: marketing, branding, building relationships, business 101, financial health, balancing life & business, & creating systems that stick. Heck – they’ve even brought this show on the road to the Hallmark Institute of Photography!

Head on over to http://www.justinmarantz.com  and vote for your nearest city by 12pm EST on Sept 18, 2009 and hopefully their Road-Rules inspired Winnebago will be pulling up in your neck of the woods in 2010.

Just so you know, if I ever went out on tour… I’d be sure it was in a seriously retro Airstream.

How much do I love J&M?  We scheduled an anniversary shoot with this dynamic duo back in June! All the photos below are from the subterranean, New York City institution in Grand Central Terminal, the Oyster Bar Restsaurant.
