These photos are for Doug and Sip who are busy drinking ginger-infused smoothies & cutting fresh flowers before arrival of house guests. These photos are for Doug and Sip who are busy drinking ginger-infused smoothies & cutting fresh flowers before arrival of house guests. They’re also probably feeling pretty darn smug since they’re vacationing on the warm and sunny island of Vieques!  For the geographically challenged, that’s an isle right next to Puerto Rico. I’ve spent the day snowbound at home, so at lunch I grabbed the G1o and we went for a walk around the neighborhood.snow dayMy favorite building in Morningside. desperately seeking (cool) new neighbors

Our neighbor just put his house on the market…again. It’s not your typical cookie-cutter home, but I still miss the slate roof. It broke my heart to hear the roofers carelessly throwing the slate onto the ground. Our neighbor just put his house on the market…again. It’s not your typical cookie-cutter home, but I still miss the slate roof. It broke my heart to hear the roofers carelessly throwing the slate onto the ground. Sunday was the first open house and there was some brisk traffic all afternoon long.  What’s so great about Morningside? Well, right now there are bare trees and lots of dirty snow banks, but in the summer… there are glorious long days, with late sunsets and plenty of time to walk along Morningside Drive.
